The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 features more than 1700 higher education institutions from around the world, ranked in 55 individual subjects across five broad subject areas.
In the 2025 ranking, six Finnish universities made it to top 50:
Aalto University - #8 in Art & Design, #44 in Marketing and #49 in Architecture & Built Environment
Tampere University - #27 in Library & Information Management
University of the Arts Helsinki (Uniarts Helsinki) - #9 in Music (Sibelius Academy) and #14 in Performing Arts
University of Helsinki - #35 in Agriculture & Forestry, #37 in Education & Training, #45 in Theology, Divinity & Religious Studies, #64 in Linguistics and #65 in Pharmacy & Pharmacology
University of Jyväskylä - #47 in Sports-related Subjects
University of Turku - #39 in Nursing
Additionally, many Finnish universities featured in the top 200 in several fields of study.
