Finnish universities maintain their high positions in the annual QS World University Rankings, which features 1,500 universities from 104 locations around the world.
Finnish universities were once again ranked highly, some of them reaching a higher position than last year – Aalto University, University of Oulu,Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT, and University of Eastern Finland.
Finnish universities' positions in the 2024 ranking:

- University of Helsinki #115
- University of Oulu #313
- University of Turku #315
- Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT #351
- Tampere University #436
- University of Jyväskylä #446
- University of Eastern Finland #548
- Åbo Akademi University #601–#610
The QS World University Rankings measure the universities' performance based on several metrics, such as academic reputation and the number of international students enrolled. It is the only ranking of its kind to emphasise employability and sustainability.
