Summer Schools

Many Finnish higher education institutions organise summer schools in various disciplines and academic levels. These can be short, intensive academic events concentrating on one particular field of studies, research, or a wider selection of individual courses over the summer term.

Summer schools are usually targeted for students and researchers already enrolled in higher education. You usually need to be registered as a university-level student or researcher in your home country to apply. The application period depends on the school, so if you’re interested in applying, please follow the links below to the summer schools' own web pages for more information.

Also, note that, depending on your nationality, you may need a visa to enter Finland. You can apply for a short-term visa to Finland via the Finnish embassy in your home country. Please see section Visas and residence permits for more information.
